Mountain Xishan Scenic Area is one kilometer west of Guiping City, near Nanning City, and its name originates from its position.

Mountain Xishan is famous for its beautiful forest, strange rocks, sweet springs, and holy Buddhist temples. Since the Liang Period of the Southern Dynasties, it has enjoyed a history of 1,000 years, and is famous for its ancient Buddhist nunneries and temples that can be found everywhere. There are renowned attractions such as Jintian Uprising Site, Longtan State Forest Park, Dateng Gorge and Mountain Baishi.
